In the tradition of memorable opera houses, the auditorium is treated as a clearly perceived spatial figure. An inner liner, which reads as a separate element inserted into the space of the auditorium, allows for acoustic treatment, and accommodates a lighting gallery above. This and the stepping forward of balcony fronts increases the sense of the intimacy of the house.
